My 7yr old son went to Stevie during the Summer holidays and I've never seen him so enthusiastic about going to do learning. She made the sessions enjoyable and fun and really engaged with him. He was disappointed when his sessions came to an end. Highly recommended Bright Star Tuition and if I could have got it to work around school activities and my work we would have definitely be continuing during term time.

My daughter has always found maths a challenging subject to grasp and never instigated anything to do with maths. Since going to Stevie for tutoring she has received her class achievement award for significant improvements in maths and regularly asks me to call out sums so she can practise addition and subtraction and proactively does her times tables. Her confidence has grown dramatically and she is very comfortable with Stevie as she’s such a lovely approachable tutor. Thanks a million.

My son has additional needs and we wanted someone who could help him with early phonics and number skills. Stevie has been absolutely fantastic. She made our son feel at ease straight away. He loves going to her sessions. She finds things for him to do that are fun and motivating, using a range of visual and practical methods that make sense to him. We have seen improvements in both his confidence and learning since he started weekly tutoring. I pulled my son out of school over a year ago as he wasn’t coping well so thought we’d give homeschooling a try. Alfie began private tuition last Summer with Stevie and he instantly felt at ease with her & her engaging/friendly methods of teaching.
We started off at an hour a week and have now built up to five hours per week. Stevie used to come to our place for tutoring in the beginning as Alfie suffers with separation anxiety but after a while he became so comfortable that he now has sessions over at Stevie’s place where there is a wonderful set up. This alone has helped his confidence immensely.
We decided to stick to the basics of reading, writing and phonics with some extra subjects recently added like geography. I love how Stevie makes each lesson exciting by honing in on Alfie’s interests which include Lego and Pokémon. This is especially important for Alfie’s progress due to the fact that in school he couldn’t access the curriculum due to his delays so now that each session is tailor-made my son is truly thriving academically and has made so much progress.
We all feel as a family very lucky to have found Stevie and highly recommend her tuition services!
