Bright Star Tuition was born in 2022. I had been a classroom teacher for 11 years and had many more years of experience in schools before that. Whilst I loved teaching and the school environment, it felt like the education system was putting more and more restrictions in place. Tutoring has allowed me to refocus on all of the amazing aspects of teaching:

• building strong, supportive and positive relationships with pupils
• tailoring learning to the needs and learning styles of every child
• the freedom to use pupils' interests to engage them fully in their learning
• using fun, practical and exciting methods for teaching and learning
• being able to give immediate feedback and adapt the sessions in response to ongoing assessment for learning
• Being able to support and challenge at the right level for the child
